Reporting to the Area Team Manager your main purpose will be the delivery of project and maintenance operations, through the installing, testing and commissioning of radio and satellite tracking equipment, on-site repair and maintenance of BusNet and other ACIS passenger information systems both on-street and on-vehicle.
Ideal candidates will have a background in field based electrical engineering or electronics. You will have demonstrable experience of fault diagnosis on a wide range of electrical equipment including PC's.
Site Engineer

The Site Engineer reports directly to the Area Team Manager, the main purpose of this role is to deliver customer service to allocated customers through extensive on site working.
The main duties of the Site Engineer role include;

Attending weekly meetings with customer

Complete minor Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
-
Maintaining project plans
-
Liaison with Field Service and Software Engineers
-
Rectifying system faults
-
Producing method statements and risk assessments
-
Producing minor quotations
-
Attending project progress meetings alongside other ACIS employees.
Site Engineers should be educated in electrical/electronic engineering, HND/HNC is desirable or a similar discipline. The ideal candidates will have worked within a technical installation/maintenance environment. You will have demonstrable experience of fault diagnosis on a wide range of electrical equipment including PCs, as well as experience in working in a pressurised environment, meeting tight installation or fault response deadlines. Knowledge and experience of working with service level agreements (SLAs) would be an advantage, together with working in an ISO accredited organisation.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have a methodical approach, proven organisational skills, knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Suite of products, with excellent diagnosis and faultfinding skills.

Area Team Manager
Leeds
As Area Team Manager you will report directly to the Senior Area Manager. Your primary role will be to ensure effective operational management of regionally based engineers and office staff. Further to ensure delivery of customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for the line management of all engineering resources, delivery of consistent customer service, system performance monitoring, compliance with contract requirements including maintenance contracts along with ensuring consistent technical standards, identification and billing of all chargeable work, attendance at customer project progress meetings and programme management for area.
Your areas of accountability will be to ensure all performance measures and KPI’s reflect correct performance, customer satisfaction, the co-ordination of all parties involved i.e. Customers, ACIS Departments, Suppliers and Contractors along with the Quality Standard of work produced is in line with the ISO procedures and that Statutory and Regulatory requirements are met.
You will be required to keep regular customer contact to ensure good relationships are maintained, all works are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety guidelines, the on-going delivery and profitability of maintenance contracts post project delivery, ensuring timely and accurate system data is made available to interested parties as required.
The successful candidate should ideally have a Degree in Business, Engineering or other similar relevant discipline or have relevant experience. Knowledge and experience of Project management methodology will be an advantage, and posses strong skills in IT systems and applications, including spreadsheets and presentations
It is essential all candidates have a strong commercial background, experience of budget monitoring and reporting as well as working in a pressurised environment,
You must be well organised with exceptional time management skills, have strong literacy, numeric and analytical skills, with the ability to report financial information, have knowledge of Quality Systems, be able to understand client needs and demonstrate a pro active approach.

Senior Systems Engineer

As Senior Systems Engineer you will report directly to the Area Manager. Your primary purpose will be responsibility for all system engineering, including performance, delivery, design, implementation and integration of technology-based solutions across a multi-disciplined environment.
You will be responsible for the line management of the national radio team. You will need to ensure effective change management controls and documentation, fault diagnostics and rectification are within strict SLA’s as well as national trouble shooting with possible travel throughout the UK.
You will be required to undertake system engineering tasks in projects involving mechanical, electronic and software, undertake design and requirement validation activities along with supporting other issues of systems and implementation within the project engineering and delivery team.
You will be required to perform FAT and SAT’s, system availability calculation and reporting, along with system performance measurement and producing relevant KPI’s.
The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or other similar relevant discipline. You will have an analytical background with practical experience. Software engineering algorithm is desirable.
Good communication skills are essential with the ability to effectively interact with customers and other team members. You will be highly motivated with a software background, have excellent communications skills, time management skills and prioritisation skills.
