Commercial Bid Manager - Cambridge
The Commercial Bid Manager will report to the Business Development Director and have direct line management responsibility for the tenders team leader as well as responsibility for the overall tender’s team and process.

It is essential the Commercial Bid Manager has excellent communication skills as liaison with all business areas is a fundamental part of this role and will be paramount in achieving the business objective of ensuring the sales targets are met through won tenders in an unhurried manner allowing for appropriate review time.

The main duties, responsibilities and accountabilities for this role are to ensure success in pre-qualifications of tenders and major proposals, to identify and deliver appropriate strategies for winning tenders, to lead the identified multi disciplined resources from around the company throughout the pre-qualification and tender preparation process.

To be successful in managing and leading the tender process in line with company quality standards the successful candidate will need to ensure they are up to date with all new technologies and products used and developed by the company as well as be familiar with what is happening within the wider transport industry, resulting from this the successful Commercial Bid Manager will be required to write technical and commercial compliance statements.

The Commercial Bid Manager must have a recognised qualification in English Language, and an A level or equivalent qualification in a technical subject, together with a proven background in all the stages of bid management for high value tenders within a technology industry.
