TWM/CENTRO
The Birmingham contract was awarded to ACIS in 2003 to provide a GPRS Communications Infrastructure across 330 including BusNet Live, Vehicle Viewer, Server to Server link to web site and SMS Service.

CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCILcumbria logo
At the beginning of 2005, an order was placed to trial RTPI in Carlisle with Stagecoach Ribble of 14 vehicles. Featuring GPRS communication with Vehicle Viewer & Operator Reports being operated through the Internet.
The system was commissioned in January 2006, and following a successful trial. Cumbria are looking to go to tender for a countywide RTPI system which ACIS hope to win, based on the success of this trial.

HALTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
ACIS were awarded the contract in Summer 2003 to equip the entire fleet of buses at Halton Borough Transport. This is a joint scheme with Merseytravel and utilises the existing radio infrastructure at Frodsham and at the centre of Liverpool.

HULL CITY COUNCIL

ACIS provides the PMR system for over 70 vehicles with the radio base station linked to the York System. The offering also covers SMS for passengers, Console 2 and 12 On-Street displays

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ACIS currently equip all 154 Preston bus vehicles along with 25 buses at Fishwicks. Both Operators have access to the ACIS BusNet Live and Operator Reports products. There are currently three PMR radio base station sites, covering the city centre of Preston, which also provide the facility of voice operation for the Bus Operator. Features of the system include, KeyFast, Cross Journey Predictions, Operator Reports, Web Site, Traffic Signal Priority, BusNet Live, Voice communications and Console 2.


MERSEYTRAVEL
The ACIS system was installed in Merseyside in 1996 as a replacement for the original GEC/Peek Traffic system. The system is installed along various 'SMART' branded corridors both on Merseyside and the Wirral incorporating over 40 bus routes.  Further cross-boundary routes extend through St Helens and onto Wigan in Greater Manchester to the north.

Over 240 vehicles are fitted with On-Vehicle Displays, 'next stop' audio announcements which are also in operation in Southport Park & Ride. There are seven Bus Operators involved in the system, with Arriva North West being the largest.  Other bus operators include Supatravel, Selwyns, CMT, First PMT and Halton Transport.

It comprises of a countywide radio system with 4 base station sites is installed to cover the entire Merseyside area and has the capability to support 500+ vehicles on full data communication and several thousand on emergency voice communication.

SHROPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
The system was originally installed in 2000 in the town centre of Shrewsbury. Due to public demand, the system expanded to cover the Oxon and Meole Brace Park & Ride services. Further extensions were awarded to cover all the other town centre services, the fitment of Arriva vehicles in Oswestry to cover the Shrewsbury to Whitchurch services and the addition of a new Bus Operator, Boulton's Buses, to cover the service 7 to Little Harlescott.

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL
A key aspect of this system is the interface with UTMC where the buses are used as probes to measure traffic congestion. The system has been designed to allow a seamless upgrade path to an integrated trunked radio system integrating with the South & West Yorkshire system.

YORKSHIRE COASTLINER
ACIS won the order from Yorkshire Coastliner (part of the Blazefield Group) in 2002, to install 20 vehicles with GPRS. Based on this success, ACIS went on to provide additional products to the Keighley & District operation as part of the Yorkshire system. Following 2 successful system deliveries with Blazefield, at the end of 2005 ACIS won the contract to remove the existing Infocell equipment.

SOUTH & WEST YORKSHIRE PTE
The South & West Yorkshire PTE system covers both counties with a PMR network. In order to manage the system, a state of the art Data Management Suite has been installed allowing a complete seamless data upload for the system every 2 weeks.
The 4 major Bus Operators involved in the scheme have access to state of the art Operator Reports allowing web based access to the vast amount of service delivery data collated by the system every day.
Currently dealing with in excess of 2,500 web/SMS based enquiries every day this is the largest and most accessed system of its kind in the UK.
