HTM - THE HAGUE
ACIS have provided HTM a BusNet System, including 50 vehicles (trams & buses) of the 450 vehicles operated by HTM. The system covers 3 services linked by a single channel base station on their own Headquarters building. The project was a showcase was to demonstrate the usefulness of Internet, WAP and SMS services for the individual traveller.The system was awarded the ROVER Dutch Traveller's prize in 2002. Expansion to Tramline 15 and 16 is now in progress, including a further 15 trams and 80 stops for Internet/SMS services. The 80 additional stops brings the Internet/WAP/SMS callable stops up to 240. In addition, a number of stops on the 15 service will include real time displays.

MOWASALAT, QATAR

The system consists of the necessary vehicle technology, for 50 public transport buses initially, along with the infrastructure and software for vehicle monitoring based on GPS satellite technology, fleet operational management, schedule adherence and management reporting.
For passenger information during and after the Games, an SMS and web service will be set up to provide mobile and static information to travellers and tourists about predicted arrival times of buses.
