Phone - Voice
ACIS has developed an interactive phone server for the passenger who may not have easy access to web or SMS phones, or members of the public who are blind or partially sighted.
The Phone Server is a touch-tone based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service that enables passengers to identify a bus stop or public service, and then plays the real time arrival information according to the passengers selection. Passengers are guided through prompts to select their local bus stop and then the bus arrival information is spoken to them.
Later planned releases of this service will automatically phone customers when, for example, the service 27 is within 10 minutes of their local bus stop, on a week day.
