SMS text messaging

ACIS has developed an SMS site, which provides passengers with real time public transport information via mobile phone and PDA technology.

Passengers can send various combinations of information such as bus stop references, public service numbers and date/ time to designated text numbers and receive accurate bus departure times.

This service provides freedom to passengers for accessing real time bus arrival information from anywhere, anytime, in the most cost effective way. Passengers can even set up alerts, whereby an SMS message is pre-programmed to be sent (for example) every weekday, after 5pm when a service 27 is ten minutes away from the user's local bus stop.
