Infotainment

The word infotainment is derived from Information and Entertainment and describes a range of On-Vehicle Products to enhance the passenger experience on the vehicle and improve driver and passenger safety.
The range of products includes: -
• Audio Announcements
• LED displays of various sizes
• TFT displays & Media Server
• Interfaces to CCTV systems
Audio Announcements

ACIS offer Text-To-Speech (TTS) technology for their audio announcements.  We use a highly sophisticated TTS engine with voice like sound and the capability to produce automated GPS location triggered announcements.

Vehicle Noise Reduction

When a speaker system, as part of an audio announcement system, is installed on a vehicle it is possible to augment this with ACIS? Vehicle Noise Reduction system. This sophisticated computer algorithm reduces the apparent noise of the vehicle to the passenger and the driver.  Improving comfort for both.

PA System

When loud speakers, as part of an audio announcement system, are installed on a vehicle it is possible to augment this with ACIS? Passenger Announcement system. The Driver is provided with a microphone to make the announcements.

LED displays

ACIS typically offer single line displays for next stop information and text messages from the control and operations centre.  These displays have been found to be invaluable in poorly lit areas by increasing passenger safety by letting people know where they are. They also increase driver safety by reducing distraction, as people do not have to ask where they are.

TFT Display and Media Server

This is latest in passenger information systems.  TFT displays with their Media server not only offer Next Stop and text messaging facilities but can also integrate with CCTV systems and show video clips and advertising; generating a valuable revenue stream for the operator.

CCTV Interface

The latest thinking is to show the passengers that they are under surveillance via CCTV; Improving on board passenger and driver safety and reducing vandalism.  The CCTV interface links into the on bus CCTV system showing different camera views every few seconds in rotation with other passenger information described above.
